Ellie Reeves MP writes to Councillor Muhammad Ali to tell him that a 25.9% response rate for a consultation is a “high turnout”. She goes so far as to say that this type of consultation would usually attract a 10-15% response rate. As such the results should not be ignored.
She goes on to explain: “An overwhelming number, 61% of residents, voted for the removal of the scheme entirely” and asks for the outcome of the consultation to be implemented “democratically and fairly”.
